Committee Against Fascism
A resolution to increase democratic freedoms.
Category: The Furtherment of Democracy Strength: Strong Proposed by: Arthuria-Elizabetia
Description: RECOGNIZING the existence of fascist and semi-fascist nations in our world,
RECOGNIZING ALSO that fascism is a brutal and evil ideology,
DETERMINED to prevent the future growth of fascism,
LET IT BE RESOLVED to create a committee to prevent the further spread of fascism, and to promote the growth of democracy in existing fascist nations.

The Federation of Soltak refuses to support this proposal. The governing practicing of individual nations should be left up to those nations and is not for anyone else to decide or regulate.

What business of yours is it what another leader does in his or her nation?

100? I won't go beyond 10 for every anarchist. Besides, I only start bombing if one of those anarchists starts bombing us first. I'm a benevolant dictator.

I've found that most anarchists aren't worth the powder to blow them to hell. I gas a big lot of them no and again, but bombs cost too much.

Fascism is a way of life, my way of life. By attempting to "wage war"(albeit in a small form), conflicts arrise(much like that of Vietnam, being a "war" against the spread of communism). Do not force your political system on me, and i will not force mine on you(atleast not until The Dubiously Evil Fascist States of the Nintendo Emerates take over your nation :twisted: :twisted: )
The UN is here to aid in world peace, not to dictate political ideology. I hate facism, but as a democrac I hold each nations right to choose thier own destiny.

I'm glad that this post was made. It demonstrates what I think many people have been trying to say: A true lover of democracy is willing to accept those ideologies with which they don't agree.

Except the government.
I think that can be said of any government system. And, since most here would rather not go anarchist, it's simply a fact of life that has to be dealt with.
And, on a side note dealing with anarchy, the UN is most certainly not an anarchical body. Why do you participate in policy debates and submit yourself to the will of the UN? It's a democracy, not exactly an anarchists vision of paradise. Though I suppose no credible government system really is.

Goverment sets down the guidlines for behavior in society. Whithout those rules your personal rights will die, as no one will respect them.

This, to me, sounds like the nation of Letila is a "Terroist Sponsoring Nation" and, as such, should be banned from the Community of civil Nations that is the UN and isolated from any foreign trade or diplomatic relations with any Member nation of the UN.
Good luck passing this proposal. I favor it, but you are going to recieve a lot of opposition.

That is so true, the institutional state exist to serve the organic state it is made of, by, and for and ONLY that organic state. If the institutional state serves the interest of any other intity besides that of the organic state it was created to serve it becomes a cancer upon that organic state and should be removed befor it kills its host.

Well, I am glad to have come back from the Christmas break and see such lively discussion.
I do abhor fascism, but this proposal was more of an experiment for me. I was interested to see whether the ideal of full politicial freedom or the ideal of moral protection would triumph, and it seems political freedom (at least in an idealistic sense) has won out.
Voltaire said something about the fact that while you don't always agree with what someone is doing, you should fight for their right to do so. I have always agreed with that statement, and I am actually quite pleased to see things working out this way.
This was one of those things where either answer was right. Thanks for the lively debate! Next time I hope to me a more active participant!
