POSIBALY A NEW PROSPAL

22-12-2003, 20:14
INTERNATIONAL SECURITY IS THE SUBJECT
The UN should provide protection to new nations and new UN members. Becoming in the UN is dangerus peaple will attack you for your position. We should provide protection for each other. People that were refused by the UN will try and steal your position. Please protect each other so people that were not exepted cannot make desisions for the other nations. Protect each other.

Effect is mild

Lord Evif leans over to the Shanevil representative.

We cannot locate your proposal. What is its title?

In the hope that it has not yet been submitted, Lord Evif drops a copy of Resolution 245A: Proper Grammar on the Shanevil desk.

Resolution 245A Proper Grammar

A resolution to increase democratic freedoms.

Category: The Furtherment of Democracy
Strength: Significant
Proposed by: Scrotalia

Description: Too long have UN Proposals been filled with improper grammar. One can scarcely move between two pages of proposals without seeing some sort of grammar or spelling error. People need to realize that "your" and "you're" are NOT the same word. People also need to realize that "to" and "too" are also not the same word, and that the "Vaticant" does not exist. Any country that files a proposal with such language shall henceforth be banned from proposals until such time as they understand the English language and can properly convey their ideas.

Votes For: 8597

Votes Against: 6885

Implemented: Sat Feb 15 2003

I would contend that a nation should not consider entrance into the UN until it is capable of militarily defending itself and its position. The UN is not and should not be responsible for the defense of individual members.

I urge my fellow delegates to disregard the proposal.

What is stopping you from posting the proposal? Have you not been accepted as a UN member nation?

I do not have the required two endorcements to post a prospal

Hmm... I can't say that I'm overly distraught by that ... Perhaps by the time you receive your endorsements you will have reached a more intelligent conclusion regarding this issue.

It's not about just my nation it's about the other nations the nations picking on young UN members just to take their UN position Nations that were denied a UN membership if they want in still they may take over the weak nation. if they suckseed in doing so they will take their UN possition then that nation can make dessisions inside the UN and force new laws inside the other nations by voting on resilutions

Unfortunately I have no idea what you just said. The Chancellor of the Federation of Soltak is far too old to attempt to decipher what it is you have written and does not wish to expend resources doing so.

Might I suggest that you employ at least a modicum and punctuation and a bit of a spell check?

Then perhaps myself and my colleagues will be able to better understand and communicate with you.

Tell you what...if you agree to run your statements through a spell checker, I might pass this along to the leader of Klanggadar. If he were to see this, I have a feeling that he'd want to invade. It can't be helped since there's so many tools out there to help with those glaring spelling errors. So, for the love of god...run a spell checker so we might know what in the blue hell you are babbling about. Thank you.

1. Learn the following:
succeed
decisions
resolutions
proposals
- or put your posts through a spell-checker first. Please.

2. No-one can take your nation from you. That's griefing, and you can report them to mods for it.

3. I assume (correct me if I'm wrong) you're talking about other UN nations coming into your region and endorsing each other to take the delegate position. This is perfectly legal in the game, in fact I get the feeling it's somewhat encouraged. If you don't like it, there is an easy way round it:
a) create your own region, and move to it with your friends
b) make access to that region password-only
You'll need at least two people in a region for one of you to get delegate status, three of you in a region to give your delegate the power to put forward proposals.

Does all that make sense?

The Soltakian Chancellor must concur with the Honorable Powerbroker from Goobergunchia.

If efforts are made to translate the proposal into something intelligible, the Federation will take it under consideration.
