If you search for "fair trade" on the proposals, you will find a proposal which places in some regulations in the hopes of establishing FAIR, not free, trade policies. :!:

Category: Social Justice; A resolution to reduce income inequality and increase basic welfare.

Description: WHEREAS we recognize that free trade policy generally takes the form of lowering prices for the rich at the expense of the social welfare in both developing and developed nations

WHEREAS we recongize that most free trade regulations require that countries remove protections for their workers and their enviroment.

It is proposed that all UN member countries enact a policy of trading fairly with other nations, such that

1. No foreign producer may be paid less for their product than it cost produce that product.
2. No trade aggreement shall describe enviromental regulations as a "barrier to trade".
3. No trade aggreement shall describe labor protections as a "barrier to trade"

The Republic of Dovaan refuses to vote in favor of "fair" trade. Free trade is the fairest form of trade and must be upheld.

Kyronia will not support this proposal, as we believe removing protection for our workers and the environment, is not in our nation's best interests.
