I would like the support of every one to increas our miltary and police to better protect our selfs and for every one in the UN so help me send for this worthy case for this pleas.. President Schultz Of BenDavis

Let us not deceive ourselves, sir. These are the implements of war and subjugation—the last arguments to which kings resort. I ask gentlemen, sir, what means this martial array, if its purpose were not to force us to submission? Can gentlemen assign any other possible motives for it?

Or just defend yourself. Why have potential enemies arming at the same rate, or more, as you?

my country only gots one army and that is the salvation army. I say we should destory all guns,bombs, and so on and on. And arm our people with folwers and love.

I am not sorry to say that I disagree with you. What happens if we dis-arm ourselves? We are at peace for a while. And then some hot-shot nation comes by, or some alien race is discovered, and we get wiped out. You can force people to talk, but you cannot force them to listen. As long as the benefits outweigh the risks, conquering others will be a way of life.

I support increased funding for military and police forces. My nation, 'The Federation of Hamsandwizh' is a free nation with many elections and there are many threats to freedom today and it is important to have a strong military to react in case of invasion which is very possible. My nation takes great pride in our military and spend as much as needed to keep it large, up to date, and maintained for defense against invasion and threats, and only for defense, no leader in my nation, because of elections would dare go to war for no good reason and if it did happen they would be out of office right quick!
So yeah, I support it!

If you can conquer a nation with exactly zero casualties on either side using an all-volunteer army, I have no objection.

But if you draft people, that violates their fundamental human rights.

Likewise if, during the course of an aggressive war, somebody dies, that violates their individual rights.

In addition, it is immoral for individuals to intiate force against others. Which is why we have laws against murder, rape, robbery, etc. It's only logical that the same burden applies to the state, i.e. states should not be allowed to make aggressive or pre-emptive wars.

I do NOT support disarmament. I DO support, however, making the military defensive, i.e. less of a conventional army, better equipped strategic-nuclear arsenal.

As for potential enemies, every country in the world is a potential enemy, and we all know where an arms race gets us. China's army is one million men larger than ours. That doesn't mean we should draft a million people. Especially since they're more interested in trade than war. Ever hear of the McDonald's theory? If you want to prevent war... give countries a McDonald's chain. It's true.

If we get attacked by an alien race they'll probably be far technologically superior to us since they can travel all the way to our solar system. It will be safe to assume that, if they're hostile, we'll lose the war no matter how many weapons we have.

How often do you have elections? Even if you have an election every three months, a president would still be able to carry out an aggressive war against a small country.

I agree with the pledge to increase police funding as it will help cut down on crime. However, I see no reason for an increase in military spending especially when so many nations already spend a huge amount on their military.
