The Nation of LoreSong will NOT support a repeal of any homosexual rights act, now or in the future. Love is love. Union is Union. Nitpicking over vernacular constitutes beating around the bush, and is a convenient way of enacting prejudicial actions against a group of people with whom you happen to disagree.

Description: Whereas, the introduction of gay rights into our society has led to the erosion of basic family principles and, in some cases the destruction of the family, The Republic of Tathan-Otho proposes that gay rights be banned, and that gay marriage be outlawed. The family is a sacred institution, the basis of our society, and this assault upon the TRUE family, consisting of a union between a man and woman, is actually an assault upon the human race. It is therefore proposed that all individuals who can be proved to be gay, be automatically executed, to preserve the human race.

Oh, okay. I was expecting a ban on gay marriage right until I got to that part at the end where you proposed genocide as the solution.

So just name the union between homosexuals something else, like a unit. While I realize that when gays choose to be gay, they put themselves in a minority. This means that yes, they will be treated differently than people who are straight.

I would support this if you weren't kidding around with genocide and used such strong wording and ideas.
Love is love but there is natural love and weird human stuff. As long as the gay don't demand for the churches to rip their own heart out and say they think sinful fornication is good I won't oppose them marrying at the city hall. Love is the strongest thing in the world after all, it says so in the bible. But I still think gay eloping, not being gay, is sinful and thus I will not accept gay marriages in church... state-infested or not.
Why don't you make a proper appeal-thingy with my ideas in stead?

Tsk tsk tsk. This proposal won't last much longer for two reasons:

1. Game mechanics. You can't repeal things. Sorry, but that's the way it is.
2. Offensive nature. Executing minority groups isn't on here.

Just because a practice is traditional does not mean it should be enforced over all alternatives, held to be superior to them, or considered preferrable. Traditions aren't allways a good thing. In fact, they quite often are not. In this case, for example, a tradition has encouraged you to spread hate, encourage murder, and spread pro-genocide propaganda. Heterosexual marriage in and of itself, of course, is great; but not any better than homosexual marriage merely because it is a tradition.

You may be interested to learn that not all of humanity lives within your society. YOUR society has the "traditional" and "true" family as you define it at its foundation, perhaps; ours, we can tell you, does not. An attack on the moral foundations of your society is in no way an attack on ALL societies, and thus is not an attack on humankind.

If you feel that human rights are an attack on your society, we reccomend your nation leaves the U.N. and this forum; human rights are, in essence, the whole point of this organization.

As to your genocidal resolution which, as soon as you submitted it, labelled you as a potential murderer, note that being homosexual is (1) not a choice, but something determined biologically, and (2) in no way harmful to the person who is homosexual, nor to anyone else. In other words, there is no specific reason why heterosexuality should be considered to be preferrable to, or "more right" than homosexuality.

Also, please consider what your proposal is saying. You are ENCOURAGING MURDER. Think about that for a second. You are ADVISING PEOPLE TO END THE LIVES OF OTHER PEOPLE. If anyone reads your proposal and decides that what you say makes sense, people could be HURT OR EVEN KILLED. BECAUSE OF YOU AND YOUR PROPOSAL. [OOC note: If you lived in my real-world country, which I very deeply hope you do not, that would be a serious crime. You are spreading hate propaganda, advising people to kill, and you would be held accountable.] Other individuals who encouraged (and enforced, which you probably would if you had the chance) what you are proposing include Hitler, Stalin, and others that you will likely be compared with, justly, over the next while.

And now for some more ranting:
First of all, nobody has a legitimate reason as to why there is anything wrong with homosexuals. It's always just "well it challenges tradition" or "yeah, th0z gayz r so messed up, thay shood all die." But then there is the fact that homosexuality has been around forever, and about 10% of the world is supposedly gay.
And how does choosing to be homosexual mean that they are giving up any rights whatsoever? They didn't necessarily choose to be gay. It's not like someone wakes up and decides that they are tired of heterosexuality and would rather be homosexual. It just happens to turn out that way. It shows how ignorant you are if you think that homosexuals agree to become part of a minority and to cede their rights. And there is no reason for them to have to give up rights just because they love differently than you do. It's like persecuting people for choosing to be born into a very religious Islamic family, or any other religion.
In terms of marriage, what is it about heterosexual couples that is any reason to give them legal benefits that homosexuals shouldn't receive? If they have children, it's slightly different, but homosexual couples can adopt children, and they should have the same legal benefits.
And for religious marriage, why can't homosexuals get married by a church, or synagogue, or mosque, or whatever. I have yet to see a Christian produce decisive evidence that homosexuality is a sin in any way. Isn't tolerance a basic Christian tenet?
And even though it's been covered a million times in the forum, I'll cover your tradition arguments too. Firstly, you should realize that homosexuality has been around as long as any historical sources can tell, making it just as much a tradition as heterosexuality. And when did the one man, one woman marriage become the basis of society? What about polygamy, which has been around for ages, and is highly accepted, even encouraged, in many societies. So I guess you are talking about western society, which is only a small part of the world. And what is so important about maintaining outdated traditions? We might as well start enslaving everyone, or prohibit women from working. Or we could just go around executing minorities, a practice which was very common in all parts of the world for centuries.
I am ashamed by the sheer ignorance and bigotry that still exists in the modern world. What is so hard about accepting people for who they are? Actions like this will be the downfall of humanity.

The Federation of Hamsandwizh and the majority of the people do not support gay marrige but will not vote on this issue if it is brought to vote by all UN members. Take out the part about the ban of gay rights and genocide and then you'll get my nation's support. We have nothing against gay rights, we believe all people should have rights and of course the murder of all gays is totaly uncalled for but if it were just making gay marrige and other "unions" that give the same rights of marrige but under a different name were the only issue on the resolution then you'd get my nation's vote

They gays and lesbians are stealing all the heterosexusl males and females and keeping them in sexual bondage, preventing from forming the family unit God Himself sanctioned that homosexual seek to destroy? :roll: There's this wonderful thing called free will Christians sometimes speak about and I fail to see how anyone's free will is at risk because of gay acceptance.

After looking at your proposal I am convinced you ARE nuts, stupid, rabid, etc., and I regret I am not an UN member so I too can put together insanely offensive and moronic proposals involving genocide of minorities. :twisted:
