Click me, I am a catchy UN Piece of Legislation

I think this is so pervasive, I am begining to believe the whole UN should be disbanded and reformed based on actual involvement in the issues vs just random click votes from people who read a title, think it might be cool, then cry a river when their economy has been shot to hell by legislation written to destroy business.

Why must all anti-business legislation pass?

Where do you all plan on working when you put business out to pasture?

The whole thing is horribly saddening.

I'm thinking of getting out of the UN myself. It steps all over national sovereignty. But at least that's in keeping with its real-life counterpart. :x

It's not really bad, it's just the people. Some of them want the UN to vote on who to give parking lots to. Sheesh. :)

Hey, if you dont like what the UN does, then get out. Simple as that. There is a reason that it's optional. Now while the people who just vote 'Approve' on every bill are quite annoying, that is what happens sometimes.

See this is how it works.

UN member that knows nothing: DOo doo doo doo... hmmm... wonder what's on legislation today?

*screen loads up*

Wooooooooooooooo.... crazy title. Human rights! Liberal! Anti-conservative! Approve! Rar!

Any disagreements?

At least the UN in NationStates is really democratic. At least every member in the UN have a vote to approve or disapprove proposals that are put forward without any real pressure from other countries

Not every member has a vote. Most regions only have one vote per region (or maybe I'm doing this wrong.)

You're both right and wrong.

Proposals in the queue can only be approved by the Delegate of a region. When they reach the floor of the UN, everyone gets a vote.

True, very much so, but...

Sadly, democracy cannot always eliminate Idiocy. I hope I spelt Idiocy right... !

The problem is simply a lack of a 2/3 yes to pass game mechanical and too many "always click yes'rs". And yes, I know the 2/3 check is not gonna happen in this version...

Respectfully, A Rep of Komokom.

BTW: Although I am happy to say we finally have a serious proposal awaiting resolution on the floor now, thank heck.

I never could find the vote link when I was in some other region. :P
