From what i'm seeing in the proposal lists is that alot of stupid proposals like "hippo awarness day" get all the approvals it needs and then serious issues like gun control and national defense issues hardly ever get all the approvals it needs. Wh is this?
For one thing this seems to be a bunch that likes to think they are protecting the environment-not saying they aren't, just that environmental proposals seem to garner lots of support simply because they are environmental.
Secondly, other issues, such as gun control, how we treat detainees, and how we regard marriage, are issues that require much thought both in how the proposals are crafted and then by the people deciding the issue.
Since I was the one who proposed Save the Kudzu, I'll tell you why I did so-I was irritated by all the environmental proposals that had come down the pike and wrote it in response. It was rightfully deleted since it was a very tongue in cheek joke. I suspect others of these are as well, although Hippo Awareness seems to be serious at its core-despite the cloak of humour.
