OOC: I'm unsure if this constitutes a proposal, so I'm posting it here instead.
IC: After reading the current ridiculous proposal with regards to Hippo Awareness Day, A junior clerk in the Nibbleton Foreign Office pointed the following out to me:
The proposal is named "HIPPOS ARE INDEED QUITE LARGE"
We feel that it is wrong that a proposal can be considered serious enough to reach voting stage when it has a name which doesnt sound like a proposal at all, let alone one worthy of condieration by the UN.
It is already stated that "Joke Proposals" and "Proposals not worthy of UN consideration" are nto allowed. Many in the Nibbleton Foreign Office feel that this violates both of these rules.
Because of this, we are proposing that a new condition be added to those which constitute a valid proposal, and that is this:
Proposals Must be appropriately named
A proposal must not only have a name that releates to its content, but it must also sound like a proposal, and not a statement or a joke. It has been previously agreed that "The right to bare arms" and other such puns are not approprite, but in addition names such as "Trees are actaully very green" should join these.
Furthermore, names must use appropriate punctuation, and should use appropriate "Nettiquette," so no proposals ALL IN CAPITALS or UsINg UpPeR AnD LoWeRcAsE alternately or similar irritaing and hard-to-read styles of typing.
We feel that this is important, in order to ensure the UN remains stable, and does not break down into stupidity.
Thank you for your time, we hope you will support us on this point.
