Abolition of Nationalization

I have a proposal for the official forbiddance of nationalization of foreigners' property, but I don't have any endorsements and thus can't post it. So I'm throwing it out for someone to try.

Whereas many poor nations in the past have expropriated the property of foreigners with whom their country was not at war, a process called "nationalization";
Whereas nationalization is an arbitrary deprivation of property rights and decreases investor confidence, leading to lower levels of investment and economic growth;
Whereas nationalized property is often used as loot to reward political allies and grossly mismanaged, harming the national economy as a whole;

The United Nations resolves to ban all member states from the arbitrary and unlawful expropriation of the property of foreign nationals with whom the state is not at war. This ban shall immediately take effect in all member countries.

(This would be a Significant resolution to promote free trade.)

Not gonna happen...this would deprive nations who want to run a liberal/socialist system in their nation. It would be forcing capitalism on nations.

They can expropriate nationals' property, and pay foreigners for their property. This proposal only defends against expropriation, not coerced payment - though it should.

You still cannot force a nation to accept a perticular economic system. which is what you are advocating. The UN is mostly filled with liberal/Dem. Socialists so it won't pass.
