I would like to propose a ban on telemarketing. Our elderly are being fleeced by these fly-by-night scams. Instead of the seemingly constant onslaught of inapropriately timed phonecalls, an envelope, dropped in your mailbox once a year. This envelope will contain the contact numbers(only the toll free,24 hour kind of course) Web sites, and addresses of all the carefully screened needy causes we all know and love. The ...ahem..volunteers who would be donating their time to call you just as you sit down to eat your dinner would be spending that time preparing the envelopes to be delivered. Sounds simple enough to me...but debate is welcome.
