Hippos supreme?
Though in support of such a resolution, I do wonder if the hippos would not get big headed about themselves all of a sudden and plot to take over the world. After all, the dolphins did it once after their king was set free from a marineland like amusement park.
Do we really want to repeat history?
I believe an additional resolution needs to be made to make sure that such a travesty does not once again occur.
As well, I have a large contingent of elephants protesting outside my Parliamentary building. They feel that hippos are being treated superior to elephants, and that this is unjust and inequitable. We must make sure that other large animals rights are respected!

We too, have animals protesting, calling themselves the Stop Hippos Now Front or SHNF. Consisting of lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, and other African animals, they protested against the hippos, saying that they need representation too!
Well right now Hippos are receiving no attention at all. For all we know they're already scheming beneath the murky waters, planning to take over the world.
If the Hippo Resolution does pass then a Lurking Hippo will be noticed by people; they'll crowd around and poke it with sticks, try to feed it inappropriate food and take pictures of it. The Hippos will have a much harder time enslaving the human race.
Jaru has no Hippos.. They have been extict for thousands of years in Jaru..
Perhaps. Maybe then we need to start legislating the animals to make sure that they do not overthrow the current human regime. Restrictions on animal rights to make sure that humans remain superior!
Hippo day? Absurd... At the cost of business... attrocious.
I voted for it only to improve the envirement of my nation. If it didn't have that effect strongly then I would go strongly against this stupid UN resolution.

Now they have been playing up and have been angry lately in WWA, coincedently so have the national animal, the badger.
What if they started attacking humans in a sick plot to turn the world black and white.

Hippos are widely known as dumb. They look dumb, so everyone calls them dumb, which makes everyone dumb. My entire country sympathizes with hippos, as they have been through far more than other animals. Those who put down hippos deserve to be nuked. :twisted:
The proposal merely states that hippos possess the quality of bigness, not that they are the biggest. As has been pointed out, pygmy hippos are smaller than regular hippos, but if you crashed your car into one, there would be a lot of damage to the vehicle.
Thus, pygmy hippos are also big.
Much bigger than hedgehogs, even if they could maybe take out a tire with those spines. But the spines are, you know, small. Not big. Not big like a big fat hippo.
I mean, you could give one a good, hard kick, and it probably wouldn't even look up from its dish of tasty herbs to give you the disapproving stare that those who kick hippos in the butt deserve.
Also poop comes out of hippo butts and poop is good for the environment.

At the moment that we question the possibility of utter destruction through any action, is the moment we choose to destroy everything throigh inaction.
I ask you to read the propsal from letter to punctuation, and see that it is simply what it is. Not need for consiparacy, simply massive need for enviromental protection and a laugh from time to time.
