Love Your Country and History!

A resolution to restrict civil freedoms in the interest of moral decency.

We all love our country and heritage. I therefore propose that facism be adopted as the model government by UN member nations. Facism is a celebration of a country's identity. To be cherished and protected! Do not let those that who would destroy what you hold dear take it apart piece by piece! Protect your identity, morals, and family! Endorse this proposal for the good of us all!

If someone attacked your parents, would you not defend them?! That's what I ask of you, on behalf of your heritage! Honor your family and ancestors! Endorse this proposal!

What in the world is this proposal supposed to DO? Knowing your history is one of the most important things in the world... but this proposal doesn't actually DO anything... augh.

Esteemed Member. I must beg to differ from you. I am only asking that you all move to respect yourselves and your heritage. Everyone one has seen society begin to slid down the slippery slope towards moral delinquency. I ask only that we all take a stand against those that would impose ludicrus ideals on us and our posterity. As the saying goes, "All it takes for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing."

I ask that you take responcibility for your heritage and nation for your children's sake.

Sounds like the Patriot act.. Going to propose an office of Homeland Security to enforce it as well..Then you can institute a National Identification Card to every many woman and child with a GPG satilite traking system so you can tell whos breaking your laws when they do.. Dont forget to shut down your borders and put up razor wire fenceing to control whos coming and going..

Fascism is simply rule by the might-makes-right principle. It's derived from the Roman Fasces, the ax in the bundle of rods, symbolizing Rome's power to perform beatings and executions.

It's perfectly swell to love your country and its history... as an American, I certainly love America and American history. But that's a far cry from loving it to the exclusion of all else, and violating individual rights in the name of patriotism. Besides, isn't rights what America was about?

The US House of Representatives (http://teachpol.tcnj.edu/amer_pol_hist/fi/00000201.htm) has the Fasces on it's walls.

They chose the Fasces because it was a symbol of the republican form of government. The main thin stick with the ax is only strong when it has the backing of the people (the other thin sticks).

(Remember Rome was a republic at one point, then it was taken over by Caesar which led to the Emperors.)

Ok on the "Race" part:

Trying to figure out someone's “race” from a DNA scan is next to impossible and has a high amount of error.

The reason there is black and white skin is a question of vitamin D and Sun Exposure. Darker skin protects against mutations in skin cells and the destruction of vitamin B folate caused by lengthly exposure to ultraviolet light (in the area's closer to the equator this is a problem) but as you move away from the equator you get less and less light, therefore white skin is useful to absorb sunlight and produce vitamin D.

I agree with him. There is nothing wrong with loving and learning the histrory of your nation and I do not support this resolution for this idea is is centered on :tantrum: a form of facism so nobody support it. it. 8)

That depends If my parents where in a fight which they started for no logical reason; no. If I only knew one side of the story; no.
If I knew fully what was going on and I believed in what they where fighting for then yes.

If the people of my Nation want to learn everything there is to know about our country then our Queen would support them. If they didn’t care about our past she would support their right not to care.

As with most things we believe in freedom of the individual and the virtue of thinking about all sides of something before making your mind up (but of course they don’t have to)

The idea of restricting our civil freedoms in the name of moral decency is absurd. A morally decent government cannot rule through censorship and oppression. We, instead, should be looking at preserving our history through the implementation of educational programs,and the preservation of historical buildings. Take advantage of your civil liberties, and vote an emphatic NO to fascism.
