Yes i am starting to see why we need torture to get the nessary information to save our country if so needed i will torture someone to death for the information to save me country

There really is no point in trying to ban punishment. Its going to happen anyway, so why waste time trying to get rid of it. Completely pointless I think.

I don't see why civilised nations need to use pain and depravation in order to extract information from suspects. Surely there are less brutal ways to do it?


Plus, what happens if you torture an innocent man? How can you justify inflicting pain and most likely permanent psychological damage on him?

This is why I believe brutal punishments should be banned.

There are other ways than torture. Torture is wrong and shouldn't be used.

I really don't see what the hubbub is about the resolution. Citizens accused of crimes should be interigated, not tortured. As for spies and terrorist, there's plenty of black ops that will get the information out of them by any means necessary and word will never get out.

So either way you look at it, it's not going to change much.
