Stop the UN from violating our sovereignty!
I'm getting mighty sick of the U.N. deciding how our nations should be governed. If Schwarzivania decides that we want to use landmines, to hell with the U.N! The entire point of NationStates is that we can decide our own destiny. We have the freedom to barcode our citizens, create a dictatorship and execute political dissidents. I don't want the U.N. to take any more of our rights away!
So my fellow nations, lets all support a new U.N. resolution ending the power of the U.N. to outright ban a practice simply because it's immoral or destructive to our "citizens."
Then leave the F----n' U.N.

It wouldn't be so bad if U.N. mandates only effect U.N. members who get a vote in the U.N., but it effects EVERYONE! After all, that’s why we broke off with King George so many years ago.
They only affect UN members.
Your nation can join the UN, but it's not compulsory. As a non-member, you are unaffected by any UN decisions. So if you're happy looking after your nation and don't want to dabble in international politics, don't join up.
And the UN has always violated national sovereignty of member nations. Check out the past resolutions passed by the UN (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=UN_past_resolutions).

Clarification:
1)Sorry about the thing about the thing about "everyone must follow UN rules". I didn't read the FAQ carefully enough ;)
2) My main point is that I rather leave issues that effect domestic regulations, such as universal education or right to privacy, be left out of the U.N. I believe the U.N. should only address issues that effect the entire world or the U.N. For example, issues regarding free trade of commerce, proliferation of weapons, or resolutions regulating etiquette of U.N. resolutions should be dominate issues.
3) I won't leave the U.N. because I want to voice my opinion

That's your opinion and I'll respect it. However, others before you have suggested that and failed. The lengthiest debates on that subject were made during the consideration of my resolution "Outlaw Pedophilia". However, the argument was resoundingly rejected on the floor, despite receiving substantial forum support.
