The RCO's main complaint with this suggestion is that it falls outside the rightful jurisdiction of the United Nations. Our nation (and its dominions) has debated and confronted this issue often, and have changed views on it at various points. We believe it is better that the nations themselves determine these issues, rather than have their internal political systems dictated to them by UN fiat.
