Please Support my Resolution entitled: "A Resolution to Streamline"

I am fairly new, and hope that this is the right place to post to gain support. :?:

Well, it is the UN forum.

Proposal: A Resolution to Streamline

Category: Political Stability; A resolution to restrict political freedoms in the interest of law and order.
Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Azbakwurds

Noting: The ever-increasing stack of exceedingly poor UN resolutions;

Further noting: The number of pending UN resolutions is such that UN Regional delegates cannot give rightful consideration to all of them;

Be it hereby enacted by these United Nations that all proposed UN resolutions that contain spelling errors shall be considered null and void on their face and immediately removed from consideration until such a point as revision can be effected.

Be it further enacted that those resolutions that fail to define, or so nebulously define the terminology within their operative clauses as to make them meaningless, shall likewise be removed from consideration until such time as the sponsor can effect revision;

Furthermore, the UN Secretariat should begin consideration of a process whereby a time limit for consideration of pending UN resolutions shall be implemented.

(Pending Resolutions shall mean those resolutions that have failed to gain an appropriate number of supporting sponsors for full consideration of the body)

(The purpose of this Resolution is to streamline the process whereby UN Regional delegates tender support to proposed resolutions in order to bring them to a vote of the body. It should not be construed or constructed in a manner as to give it meaning or breadth beyond such a purpose.)

Approvals: 10 (Avalonian Angels, Azbakwurds, Scyphia, Checkoslovakia, Helfania, St Lafayette, Galician folk, Oxonia, Mountville, Sofalia)

Status: Lacking Support (requires 117 more approvals)

Voting Ends: Tue Dec 2 2003

That said, the mods will probably say that this is a game mechanics adjustment, and those should be initiated through the Technical forum, not the United Nations. This is also fairly redundant to another resolution that was already passed ("Resolution 245A Proper Grammar"), although that one typically isn't enforced because, again, it's a change to the mechanics of the game.

This is not a proposal to streamline. This is a proposal to eliminate good resolutions that win by, oh, about TEN THOUSAND (!!) votes because of a few typos.

At least it'll never reach a vote.

Which proposals would those be? Most only get passed by a few thousand. Yes the last few proposals have passed with 10k+ votes, but they have also usually had 5k+ against.

The proposal in question should have deleted by now. The Mod interface was having problems doing so earlier.

And for those curious, yes it was a game mechanics issue.

Well frankly, I think it would be a good idea...but a single typo is excusable. Proposals like " i h8 fagxors dey shood b baned" we could live without.

Unfortunately, I don't condone the UN...so...
