Whereas fossil fuels and alternatives therefor pose a problem, it is not up to the government to decide which technology should become the alternative, even less which companies should be the key players in the market for alternatives.
As scarcity of fossil fuels increases, their price will rise. Consequently, alternatives will become more attractive. Which alternative, we don't know, but we all know, that somewhere, someplace, some young entrepreneur with a vision, is right now working on a solution. Whether that solution is solar, nuclear, hydrogen, wind or microwaves from saturn doesn't matter.
Companies should be free to invest in what they believe is the best solution for the future. The market will decide which solutions are the best at filling in consumer's needs.
There is no need for pervesive government action, this issue will address itself.
We understand that not all countries believe in free market principles, therefor, we propose that each nation decides for itself what to do about this resolution. Such is the only way to respect one another's opinions and way of life.
