To whomsoever is in power:
Greetings from the Council of Cleveland Ohio. We advise you to examine more closely your proposal, "The Freedom Acts 101".
First of all, article one: "All nations have the right to be free from dictators or evil nations". This limits the ability to have a Dictatorship, an ability clearly allowed by the starting page of NationStates. Quote: "...Either that or you deliberately torture them. IT'S REALLY UP TO YOU." Unquote. This ties in with article 3. No matter how much it should be illegal, NationStates allows it, a right which you have no authority to take away.
Article two: "Other nations CAN'T be prejudice to nations because of their race, religion, gender, coulour, age, etc." Way to leave yourself a loophole! Second, you can't take away freedom of speech or of the press in a proposal which "...entitles all nations to be truly free."
Article Three: "ALL slavery shall be banned in NationStates." That is not within the UN's power. It would reach outside of the UN, clearly illegal. See also article one paragraph.
...BLAHBLAHBLAH...Article five: "Burning Crosses (or threatening to) WILL become a crime." Just listen to yourself! You, after stating, "Other Nations CAN'T be prejudice to nations because of their race, RELIGION..." etc., you go out and do so! I guess that comes of writing "OTHER NATIONS" when you mean "No Nation"...Plus, that's freedom of speech, as long as they're not burning entire churches, or other peoples Crosses, in which case it already IS illegal (it's called VANDALISM).
And finally, Article six. In and of itself, a perfectly fine Article, but it says everything you just said is, although legal, wrong. "Everybody WILL have the right to be free."
So you see, we just cannot approve your proposal just now. Perhaps with a bit of work, it might make an acceptable proposal, but for now, it won't work.
-The Council
Isn't this person kind of hypocritical? I suggest writing to your regional delegate or one of the supporters of the proposal about this issue.
