This resolution is purely anti-capitalist. It would force all organizations to allow for unions, including places like McDonald's, Wal-Mart, and even a local coffee shop. This would cause a raise in overall prices which would increase the rate of inflation in every country.
The fact that companies must hire from unions, because of protection against discrimination on that basis, would in the end discriminate against nonunion people. People would as a result of this be forced into a labor union if they wanted to get any sort of job at all. This would make changing jobs or even advancing from a current position very difficult.
Labor unions are not altogether bad, but must be controlled by the government, if businesses are controlled by the government, than so must labor unions be.
Another point that should be considered is, is it the right of the UN to be able to regulate something like this? the UN does not decide whether a country is communist, socialist, autocratic, democratic, or capitalist. this is a blatant attack on the way that capitalism is supposed to work, so in passing this resolution the UN would be attempting to regulate what kind of country you could be, and if that is allowed, then what else might be?
