"Derminia has an interest in an international judicial system but has grave doubts over any bullying effect it may entice by those who run it. Furthermore, this proposal does not seem to state whether or not this will over-ride the local judicial systems of many nations."

Legal systems vary so greatly, how could you accomodate them all?

Isnt there already a World's Court League that does this?

Does not the UN Security council already exists?

Why be redundant and propose something that already exists. If 'security' needs to be better, then fine, as a UN memeber, have YOU sent any troops to be used solely as UN Peacekeepers, etc? If not, why not?

Simply, it seems that too many countries these days are trying to micro-manage the UN more than it is now..you might say..nano-manage (seems smaller than micro *shrugs*), Why? Cant leaders of nations deal with their own problems and not have to drag the UN into doing their job for them?

"1. work for the greater good of international security"
- Meaning a group of representative have absolute power over the ppl who have been mislead to vote for them? Bite me!

"2. unite national judicial systems"
- One law for all the ppl of the planet :)) seen that before somewhere...hmm..hasent worked well isnt it?

"3. work to abolish involuntary servitude"
- Servitude can easyly been seen as voluntary, take FAITH for example, or Communism. See the problem?

"4. ensure the right to a fair trial"
-Sure, first the devious lawyers free the guy of all charge, then afterward you just shoot the guy in the back. Isnt it already what evrybody does?

Good propositions man, you just defined: Nazism!

The simple argument against this, is the fact that it attempts to create an additional body in the UN, which is illegal under the game rules (unless of course you want an ICJ that exists only on paper alone and doesn't actually exercise any of the powers you ascribe to it).

I am reasonably certain that resolutions authorizing the creation of subsidary bodies within the UN are illegal...or at least that is what a mod told me once after deleting a resolution that I introduced (attempting to create this same ICJ).
