If you want to make your country famous, it rather depends on what angle you wish to take regarding the UN. Consider the current resolution.
If you find it to be worthwhile/thought-provoking/well-written, then just go about writing resolutions like that yourself. I can promise you that your nation will become famous, or rather infamous, quickly.
If you find the current resolution to be utterly silly, then you can take the other route of agitating for change and a return to common sense. While I would strongly support this second angle, I must also warn you that it is a depressing, and often times fruitless, route.
