The UN Member-Nation from Blumploslovakia, in the York College region, has drafted and proposed a UN Resolution for the Ban of Prostitution. We here in Blumploslovakia implore the UN Delegates to support such a resolution, to better society as a whole. Thank you for you're time.

The United States of Davor wishes to call into attention the implications of this proposal, as it is an obvious intervention of human rights should this proposal be put into voting.

Citizens should be allowed to do whatever they wish with their bodies, and this proposal is an attempt to put a boundary on freedom. The United States of Davor will not support such a scheme for the people shall know what to do on their own accord. We stress to other nations to deny this proposal any further passage into the UN. Civil liberties overweigh any other cause.

You put that succinctly and I totally agree.

This ancient profession has never successfully been eradicated. Better to regulate it; then public health can be promoted, and we can collect license fees and taxes.

We are in complete agreement with the United States of Davor. It is the right of every citizen of Moistwarmfish to use their bodies in any way they please and make a living as they see fit. We would vigorously oppose this proposal.

We in Gurthark agree with the others that stand in opposition to this proposal. We would like to note that, in addition to the public health and national revenue benefits that come from a legalized and regulated (as opposed to black-market) sex trade, legalization tends to be much better for the sex workers' welfare. Sex workers who are part of a legal industry are better able to complain to the authorities of abuse than those who themselves will be arrested as soon as they come forward.

We totally agree. I would add that deciding what to do about prostitution is something that has always been left up to individual nations. We would, however, support a worldwide ban on forced prostitution (including child prostitution), since we consider it a form of slavery.

Certainly. However, I think this is already covered by the U.N. resolutions "End slavery" (which guarantees the right to leave work with two weeks' notice) and "The Child Protection Act" (which prohibits sexual molestation of minors).

I think we're in fundamental agreement. It may be already covered, but we don't think anyone forced into prostitution should have to give two weeks' notice before they quit.

I fully support this proposal. It doesnt take away anything that can help us, only that which can hurt.

So you agree with the idea of telling an individual what he may or may not do with his own body, even if it doesn't hurt anyone not involved?
