If someone could kindly direct me to where I'm supposed to put one, that would be very much appreciated....I'm still a little unclear on how it is that proposals become resolutions in the NationStates UN.
What I'm thinking is that there ought to be a ban on execution of anyone under the age of 18.
In most countries, this is considered the age of adulthood, and since it is the age in most countries where one can vote, it becomes understood that they understand the foundations of the legal justice systems in their country.
I think that this ought to make those of us who would like to see capital punishment gone happy to at least some degree, while at the same time protecting the sanctity of sovereignty by not outright banning of execution. Personally, I find the idea that children can be put to death simply barbaric.
Food for thought, if nothing else. I rarely post on the UN board.
