Proposal OAPS
I think that there is not enough right for Older people. I suggest that we Vote on this
* More right for older people
Such as
* Pensions up by 20% of all the world counties
* The Ability to take a weapon so they can use it in self defence
* a OAP Council to be set up in every country
* Free access into pubs, bingo hall ETC
* 25% off all clothers and food
It might be quite small but i feel that to help OAPS we need to give them right as they fought in wars, so lets thank them by giving them these rights
I agree. But, how would we clarify an age system?
55 and upwards should be the age limit
So you want to violate property and association rights to create yet another privileged class?
Pensions up? What about the countries that don't have pensions?
I don't see why only senior citizens need weapons to defend themselves. Why not everybody?
OAP council? I really love acronyms that have no apparent meaning.
Free access to pubs? Right. Businesses charge money because they need it to function, not because they're the evil oppressors of the proletariat.
25% of all clothes and food? Isn't that fairly redundant to the pension plan, only this time hurting business instead of raising taxes?

Its well, an interesting idea IN SENTIMENT, but realistically it has the potential of helping the aged and society at large about as much as a computer with the functionality of a house plant would help me with my home work.
And I am not biased against it due to my age, as I see it, the problem is you expect too much from society to help an age group and consequently do create a class system in society at large, and consider that the entire point of soceity as it is now is to ensure peace and properity and safety, and comfort for all, not those who just retired from a life of cashing dole cheques into a life of living off the government in another form, because basically if your proposition goes into the extreme, thats what you will create, the Old Age Dole Bludger.
And well, yeah that sums it up.
