This is a message to all you nations out there who have been devestated by wars. My R&D departement had completed our new SS (Simulation System). It is designed to run almost any kind of basic simulation. It is still being upgraded as time goes on, but we think it is ready for testing at this stage. We invite any private orginization or country representative to send a team of people to help us in testing. Any help we can get is appreciated. The cost it took to get the SS completed is high (more or less half of what my nation can produce in about a year) so we want it to be as close to perfect as possible. The system is currently having the section for wargames upgraded. We are having some slight virus problems with it since its complexity means there are more ways than usual to hide a virus. If we can get the system to work, then we can hopefully end all those devastating wars! It should eventually be able to work for other uses as well.
The SS is basically a small booth with a headset inside. Once the booth is sealed you put on the headset and are subjected to a sensory barrage to distract you from the small needles being injected into your skin. These needles have small sensors in them which detect what electrical signals are being sent around your body and then translate them into actions in the SS whilst at the same time blocking them in real life. Although we could use the same kind of small pads used for heart monitors, and simply redesign them slightly, they are not accurate enough to truly show exactly what you are wanting your body to do.
Once inside the SS system you are able to see generated objects around you, and manipulate them. In the basic war system we currently have, only certain objects can be manipulated. This is because we cant accurately determine your physical strength yet, so individual objects weighs the same to everyone, and only fairly light objects can be picked up. You can also of course move around in the SS world. The only real problem there we currently have is climbing and digging. We cant get the system to give the right kind of response to you from climbing up a wall since to do so you might have to actually have to stick your hands right into whatever youre climbing up, and the same problem as with lifting things up comes into action. As for digging, exact same thing.
So, we know there are quite a lot of problems, but we hope to iron them out with the help of whoever is sent. Please note, no firearms are permitted with your representatives. Also, your representatives will be under heavy guard at all times due to how precious the SS is.
I hope that many of you support this and that enough of you support it to pass it. A thread about it (before i proposed it) is here: http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=87712. If you want to help with its testing or argue about it in areas apart from wether its a good proposal, then feel free to join in. Please note, everything above this paragraph is my first post about it in the above thread.
