Well, the first of the environmental resolutions has now gone through, and our economy is still thriving--the same category as before. Did anyone experience a drop in their economy as a result of the resolution?

I think that environmental resolutions don't hurt your economy per se, but they decrease the size of your industry. So even though your economy rating is the same, when the UN ranks your industry sizes they will be lower.
Thanks to some poorly planned new issues (or the game developers finally recognising the benefits of collectivism) my economy has actually improved. The UN environmental resolutions do not seem to have affected it, though since I have always picked the pro environment options in issues I suppose this is not surprising. Perhaps environmental resolutions only affect nations with large woodchipping or uranium mining industries.

They don't lower your economy, they just lower your specific industries.

Ah, well, we can deal with that... We're quite the industrious country. We feel that the rankings of, say, "Largest Automobile Industries" are laregly based on the size of a country, anyway. We funneled tremendous amounts of money into our auto industry for quite some time and saw no significant improvement in our worldwide ranking, despite the fact that we went from 7th in our region to first.
