Support the Economic Freedom proposal

I ask delgates to support my economic freedoms proposal. It insures that the UN will never force an economic system on any of its members and that the nation itself will always have the right to impose capitalism or socialism on its citizens.
We also ask delegates to please support Heathvillia's "Protection from Fees" proposal along with our "Economic Freedom" proposal. The "protection from Fees" proposal alows proposals like "the AIDS intative", but makes the fee that comes along with them optional for UN nations. This is to protect the economies of weak nations that barely get by for themselves. much less others. These two proposals are ment to protect some of the most basic rights of UN member nations. By doing this we hope to encourage new members to join and keep current members from quiting.

how do you figure?
Qaaolchoura

It dictates what the UN can and can not do.
Heathvillia
20-10-2003, 03:44
yeah, but in the end doesnt nearly every proposal dictate what the UN can and cant do if you look at it from the right angle?
Qaaolchoura

No, it dictates what UN Members can and can not do.
Heathvillia

yes you do make a point, and if people do not wish to have this, then they can simply not support the proposal.

No, no, no, my point is that, as it is not allowed it will likely get DEATed, and you will likely get warned. Three warnings make a boot from the UN.

well i dont see how that would be fair considering there is a resolution that states members cant sumbit more than one proposal a day, and another one that makes proper grammar a requirement. Mine takes away far less UN member rights then those two, and not only did they not get deleted, they actually becam resolutions

Yes, and those will recieve the same treatment.
Heathvillia
20-10-2003, 03:55
it is to late for them to recieve the same treatment, they are not proposals, they are actual resolutions that have been voted on and passed

You're kidding.

That must be from before GMs in that case.

I'll check it out later, as Enodia had promised to delete all game mechanics proposals.

I've gotta get tah bed now.

:) In my mind the rich get richer and the poor can rot. I am president and what I say goes. I do not want things forced on my nation.

yes my opinion is that the nation should have the choice, a socialist nation wouldnt want to be forced into capitalism and visa versa.

the nation of Kramerica was thinking of joining the UN, at least until we saw some of the proposals out there. There are at least three forcing mandatory communism. Although they will probably never pass the people of Kramerica do not like the fact that there is a chance of one getting through. Economic systems should be chosen by the nation, not the UN in my opinion.

Well I have not had a chance to look at the resolutions yet, but I thought about it and at leastyours in IC.

And the other two had no effect. I am constantly seeing several proposals in a row, all submitted by the same person.

I wish that a GM would delete the OOC resolution especially though.

yeah some of the old resolutions never really did much, which is a shame because there really should be a limimt on proposals a day. I am simply trying to give people a way to keep the UN from tilting pro one economic system opposed to the other.

Well, I doubt that any of the "make communism mandatory" proposals will happen anywhen, so it is kinda a moot point.

it is ment to be a kind of security blanket to insure nations that although the passage of such proposals are not only not likely, but that they will never pass, therefore insuring one of the biggest decisions for a nation is still in the nations hands, not the UN's.

come on people, 111 people have looked at this, but only three have said anything, please post your opinions
Qaaolchoura

No, 111 is the number of views.

I alone account for several dozen of them.

alright is their so particular reason you keep coming to this topic and commenting on things ther than these proposals. If you are against them, state why then leave, the is no reason for you to speak after your opinion is said
