I tried making another proposal... I'm sort of still in teh experimenting with what you guys might approve or not phase.

What do you think of this?
Anti-Barbarianism Peace Quote
A resolution to slash worldwide military spending.

Category: Global Disarmament
Strength: Strong
Proposed by: Zachnia

Description: For thousands of years, war has plagued civilization though the loss of lives, tears, blood, toil, and over-all terror.

War is a thing of the past, something that has shows many negative sides in the past. My proposal is that we put war to a halt all together. There are many ways to solve problems other then war. If you break war into it's abre bones, it is just killing eachother to proove a point. This is showing unprofessionalism and hypocrasy. From this day forth, I propose that any killing of another country's citizens, or other's of one's own county, for the purpose of prevailing an idea, or thought is illegal, and shall be tried as 3rd degree murder.

It's gotten a few approvials already, and I'd appreciate it if you approved it too if you agree with it.

Unfortunately, there are 50,000 Non-UN nations out there, that do not have to obey this resolution. And I don't want to have to worry about them attacking me.

Note that I don't like war, but it can be a necessary evil.

This proposal would likely fail, as well, as most people would vote against it if current trends persist (recently, a resolution was rejected because it outlawed the draft).

We agree that it would most likely fail as well. War is often necessary for a country to gain its independence and is also justifiable in other circumstances (defense against invasion or the loss of civil or political rights, for example). Finally, war is frequently related to economic and geographic issues, which are unaddressed by your proposal.

On the other hand, it doesn't really hurt you to make the proposal, so if this is something you really believe in, post it and then work hard to get the right number of endorsements. Before you do this, though, brush up on your grammar and spelling. There are a lot of English snobs out there and have even been proposals (one passed, I think) regarding proper spelling and grammar in proposals.

War is natural. Peace is unnatural. It is too fragile.

I wouldn't have put it so bluntly, but ya, it's needed. It's just pure human nature, it's impossible to have nothing but peace

that, and so many good plot lines come from war

Human nature has nothing to do with it. As the ocean rushes to the shore, the world is moving toward its ultimate destruction...

People and animals are the same way. I think war is better than the alternative of a world of strict conformists.

Just like good old Mr. Carl said, "War is politics by other means."

I am just agreeing with what has already been said, really. War is sometimes necessary. Contrary to popular belief, war actually does solve many problems.

Just an interesting note. The last time they tried to totally outlaw war, I believe, was just after WWI, and look where that got us.

War is just voicing your opinion to those who refuse to listen. Perfectly accpetable and perfectly human.
