Geneticorp: YES and Why

This resolution is much better than ISI. That should be a good enough reason on its own:

Its pro-individual rights, which is good.

It abolishes international laws on cloning, and places the burden on national governments. Good show, TGM :D

Also, there's been some people debating about clone armies and cloning political leaders. At our current stage in clone technology, clones have to be made within the 6-8 week stage of the embryo, and there's only a 1% success rate. While you're blowing billions of your currency on clones and then waiting to develop and brainwash them, Corinto will be focusing energies on military technology. And we'll win.

He goes on to say some stuff about clones being equal as people, which is liberally appealing. Free flow of information...I can't see anything in the proposal that I can raise objection to that I wouldn't have to pick at it for.

Why write so much when you could of just said:

Lets get on with this, dominate the world and reap the benefits.

Although thats my veiw as a crazed dictator.

I also think it is a good idea for those reasons and the fact it places the right of the person over the will of the corp. when it comes to genome research, so the person does not have to be cloned if they don't want to.

The problem with this is the catagory in which it is labeled under. The wording of the document are void as to its affect on your country. It should be under the cat. to further human rights not trade.

The reaosn it's under free trade is because scientific freedom was under free trade.

I am opposed to the proposal because it needlessly restricts the rights of businesses to develop products based on DNA technology.

How does it do that?
