Description: In order to ensure that only the most qualified of the electorate vote, before any voter registration will be allowed, the person applying for the privlege to vote shall take and pass with a score of 75% or better an intelligence test. Failure to pass the test shall disqualify the voter for the next election. Persons wishing to be elected must pass an intelligence test with a score of at least 80% before they can be placed on the ballot.

I dunno, there are a lot of smart jerks out there. Do you really want Lex Luthor to run the world? Admittedly he's libertarian, but ...
Also, you may wish to clarify what constitutes an 'intelligence test'. Does the Jeopardy home game count?

I am concerned that those persons who are in charge of designing the intelligence tests will bias them such that receiving a high score will require that the applicant support or agree with the political views of the test designers. In other words, any applicant who expressed strongly dissenting opinions would be intentionally disqualified.

It could be even worse: Test designers could be advised to create a test that excludes a certain ethnical group from the test (for example by testing language skills in one language which is not the native language for them). Rejistania is against it!
In 8th grade they said I had an IQ of 148.
I took an online test and scored with an IQ of 152.
Mensa said I have an IQ of 118. Mensa's test had allot of english vocabulary in it.
Who is going to make the test?
IQ tests are only as reliable as the people who created the test.
How smart you are is also controlled by where you at. I have a cousin whose considered a genius as long as he's on a farm and talking about harvesting mountain oysters.

As far as I know, there is no standardized test currently constructed that measures skill in harvesting mountain oysters.
The Rogue Nation of Futplex will support any legislation mandating the development of such a test.

IQ tests are biased. They ask ghetto kids about cows and sheep ahich the kids have never seen and possibly never even heard about. Cultural bias.
Doesnt this go agaisnt democracy?
We're a strong believer that leaders should be voted for by those who will be governed by the elected.
I take the point that those of us with less intelligence will be easily fooled into voting the 'wrong' way by simple promises with no substance, but surely there is a better way than by just not letting them vote!?
So until we work out this new way i and the rest of my country will say no!
