Why vote for an initiative that isn't even spelled correctly

The ISI initiative sounds very grand, but how can it be taken seriously when it's riddled with spelling mistakes? If we can't even spell words properly how can we be expected to master the more difficult tasks involved in space exploration?

Let's forget about spelling. Samuel Johnson didn't found the United Nations.

We believe that it is awfully petty to judge a proposal based on how the words are spelled and not the message they attempt to convey. Many NS UN members are not native English-speakers. We hear time and time again from our foreign friends that learning English spelling is by far the most challenging aspect of learning English. Our dipthongs are ridiculous. We will continue to forgive spelling errors in proposals as long as there is not an obvious spell-check feature on the submission form.

Bad spellers of the world untie!

Its also sooo elitist to be prejudiced against a resolution because of its spelling.

You're right, it is elitist. However, don't you want, for prosperity's sake, to have our resolutions spelled right?

Sure, noone here is Benjamin Franklin or Thomas Jefferson, but come on, proposal writers, put yourself at a higher standard!

Since it looks like it's getting put into effect, could someone at least spell-check the thing when it's in?
