Stupid Law Proposal

02-10-2003, 03:17
Tell me mods who took off The Aloha Law? It was written by real politicians in Oahu, Hawaii USA and you guys send me a email saying it is a silly law and I must stop or be terminated from NS-UN!

Look you mods read the Bill of No Rights that crap didn't pass did it? I thought with a bunch of people who voted no think it sounded stupid. One of the members of NS/UN caught The Global Market red handed that he did took the info off a site and he too admitted that he did use the whole idea and make it his!

This law - The Aloha Law has been passed by The State of Hawaii. Do you want me to call the Govenor Lingle or some of the Cabinet members and get the whole Bill.

I am fed up with this bull LoL jk. Oh well. You Mods can go play your muppet government. I gonna go play along with it too, my way.

What the fuck is wrong with Global posting the bill of no rights? You people...
02-10-2003, 03:50
lol yeah and the mods has the guts to keep his silly proposal in the quorum too and mines got the threatening letter that if i dont stop placing silly laws i will be ejected from NS UN LMFAO
02-10-2003, 04:21
I know the feeling, I resubmitted one of my proposals twice today because I categorized it incorrectly last time, and it was deleted. It is sort of discouraging. Then I see a resolution with the sole phrase “TARS BAD” that is all, yet it stands. However complaining isn't going to solve anything, lol especially over this.

What the f--- is wrong with Global posting the bill of no rights? You people...

There was nothing wrong with him posting the Bill of No Rights... Except the Bill of No Rights.

The Bill of No Rights was a legitimate piece of legislation.

There's a huge difference between opposing it and saying that I was wrong for having posted it.

Maybe we need a "UN with sense of humor" topic in General.
There is certainly none of it in this forum.

It wasn't a fake proposal. Each point was a LEGITIMATE law.

I wouldn't call them "laws"

i agree with you, Oppressed Possums!

One certain Mod doesn't want to start a debate on what is to be put on a proposal. Isn't that so unfair that what a Forum is for is to make opinions whether they are harsh or not, cannot be taken offensive? But unfortunately they gotten all sensitive and since they have the power to remove them out of the NationStates is a abuse of power!

I feel sorry for XtremeRaz wanting to just make a point and having his post deleted. It is ashame how they disrepect people just because they have a title. If they ever come to Hawaii, we won't even do such mean things like this!

Reflected Dreams, stop with the "look at me I'm on the moral high ground" act. Raz was deleted for flaming me - flaming me so badly the post in question had to be deleted as well. Yes I may have "taken it personally" by deleting him, but the sentence "Enodia, you are a dictator" is clearly designed to be taken personally. That was the only repeatable part of the post.
The thread ("Before you make a proposal") was locked not because I want to stifle debate but because that's not the place to have it. It was an oversight on my part not to lock it upon its creation. As I explained in the thread itself, there is room to move. If you feel as though your proposal was deleted unfairly, then let me know. Raz did not do that, he merely re-posted the proposal and then flew off the handle when it was deleted again, with the result being his deletion.
Finally, RD, I would caution you very strongly not to go down the same path that he has. You have already threatened me via telegram (an empty threat, but most threats begin that way) and you should therefore consider this your official warning.

I suppose I can see a reason for deleting certain proposals, as it would be difficult to find and endorse serious proposals if the site was over-run with pointless ones. On the other hand, I believe there is a place for silliness in any situation, and that silly proposals shouldn't necessarily be deleted. Furthermore, I read the Aloha rule, and it was intreesting. Basically, it just required (or maybe encouraged) the people of nations to say "hi" to fellow humans in a friendly way. As there exists a NS issue with the option to require spouses to call each other darling, I believe it is hypocritical to disallow a similar proposal aimed at all people.

Enodia, I respect your wishes. I haven't mentioned your name on the previous post. He is my family though and I cannot disown him. I will follow NationStates rules. Raz will also he amended his mistakes. He just didn't understand big words so to say. He said sorry.

Go ahead NationStates isn't my lifeblood. I got a life more than on a silly site. I have alot of friends that know about the situation anyways. Give me many warnings if you please! All I state is my opinion and it didn't say about your name. It wasn't a threat, it was in general speaking terms.

Oh yeah - Yay I have a warning. I wonder if there was 300 members that are similar to Raz and 300 many personalities like you who would win?

Nobody I am sure.

I always talk with my classmates in school and that many people read the posts and it says that everyone are calling each other names. But you took it so offensively. You need more rest.

Well hope everyone is having a awsome Sunday! Hawaii is all sunny, I wonder what is the weather around the world?

Let bygones be bygones?

Live with Aloha!

The ambassador of the Gearheads would appreciate it if the personally-directed posts would be conducted via telegrams. We weree hoping to have a serious debate about the issues behind dismissing issues and fear that what little potential for that this thread holds is quickly evaporating. Enodia, your public warning to Reflected Dreams seems more geared toward turning us against RD than to warning RD. As a mod, you should be held to higher standards. Post your warnings privately. To RD, though we appreicate your right to defend yourself, you are being whiny, vague, and immature. Get over it, or take it up with Enodia via privately.

To Gearheads:
I am over it. I was pitying Raz and he is going on with he will threaten to excommunicate me. He told me I am rightous, hey every individual are rightous and never inferior in the eyes of God. I am a Catholic.

If I spoke to any of the Game Mods, Gearheads, I will be burned on the Stake just as Joan of Arc in France did...

They just killed XtremeRaz because of one word and it wasn't a slang word.

Thank you Gearhead for you are the only one understanding one out of my region and NationStates UN.

Gearheads, quite true. I should have made my statements via telegram and for that I apologise. However, from the tenor of RD's post it was blatantly obvious to whom it referred and I felt that a public defence was better -> yes, that may have been more than a public defence.

I'm not a UN member I'm unwilling to be a UN member I'm against most of the proposals thats already been passed. I do have a suggestion for your next proposal which basically states the same as the bill of no rights just in a more palataple way.

Every Individual and/or group of Individuals has the right to do anything that Individual and/or group of Individuals wishes to do so as long as it does not take away from other Individuals and/or group of Individuals the right to do the same.

In otherwords anyone can do anything as long as they are not doing anything to someone else they don't want to be done to them. That includes not taking my money and giving it to someone who didn't earn it.

Example women gets pregnant its not my baby why should my taxes have to pay for her wellfare. Stop rewarding these people by giving them government checks for popping out stupid mistakes over and over again.

I may have stated my position wrong to establish it completly correct I place this deffinition in here.

Libertarians are self-governors in both personal and economic matters. They believe government's only purpose is to protect people from coercion and violence. They value individual responsibility, and tolerate economic and social diversity.

I Believe the way Neal Boortz put it at www.nealboortz.com is

Individuals are free to pursue whatever they want as long as it does not deprive another individual of life, liberty, or property thru the use of force, theft, or fraud.

In a perfect world that is.

Sly69 no offence please don't kill me Lmfao. The site you gave us doesn't work!

I believe that us members should vote to have the proposals stay or go instead of having the NS UN Delegates vote for them. This is just a suggestion. And for finding if the proposal is stupid and silly part, that should also be our vote to take it out or not. The only things that should be taken out are ones that are not right and are too dirty. Another suggestion.

And us members of Neo Hawaii is not a mean group but a peace loving people like the real Hawaii unlike groups that love booting people out for their opinions.

I just came across a really addicting promotion of illegal substance that needs to be taken out immediately. The proposal is called LEGALIZE IT. Doing this can lead younger people into having poorer grades and cause the community to have more violence and crime due to wide spread abuse of it.

Please take heed.

Thank you and Aloha!

For some reason, "recreational durg use" seems to be the most popular type of proposal to make but simultaneously the least likely to get to the floor of the UN. In all my time in the UN (I joined on the day I founded my nation), I've never seen any form of "recreational drug use" (or gun control or gambling, now I think about it) up for the vote. Shame really.

RD, in relation to letting the general populace of the UN vote on whether a proposal is silly or not, the problem is that the general populace of the UN shows itself remarkably ready to pass game mechanics resolutions and so on very regularly. Much in the same way as moderators were created to deal with the problems caused by people abusing the privilege (say) of posting on the forums or being in the UN, we were given the ability to kill off UN proposals because people were abusing the privilege of creating them.
