Simple - I kill them all the time - just stop using shitty IE and start using a GOOD browser such as MozillaFirebird - don't believe me - try it out! Won't try it out - own tough luck - you don't know what you are missing!

The UN would be going out of its way to legislate petty issues with this proposal. And how would you enforce it, anyway?

If you want to block pop-ups, get Google Toolbar like everyone else.

I'm with X-City, get a proper browser, ie Mozilla or Opera. IE isn't the one true way, man.

Amen to that!! I use firebird and you couldn't pay me enough to go back to IE. But let's not pass a Resolution about it, OK???

Aye, but block image won't aid you against the trackers by msn. For instance, if you open a web page inside hotmail, there will be an msn bar at the top of your page. You can 'block' this with Mozilla, but it's only a disguise: the tracker will still be working, and msn will use this for market research, so they can send you more adds about things you are interested in.

Of course, the sensible person doesn't use hotmail or msn-related stuff, but I was illustrating.

Well I'm still using IE 6.0 (I liked 5.5 WAY better)
Along with Norton internet security which has this neat little function that blocks pop-ups and get's rid of banners.
Any persistant banners that place tracking cookies...I'll just get rid of those with ad-aware.

I tried switching browers once..but it messed up all my settings...

You can use a popup stopper like Stopzilla, and use Adaware or Spybot seek and destroy to get rid of the spyware that's causing alot of popups.
Nice big hosts file too would help.

Ad-aware is FAR from the ideal popupless solution.
