In Objection to Xikuang's UN classification

Xikuang

Under the guidance of some of the more economically successful members of the CACE, progressive efforts are being made in the Most Serene Republic to improve our economic standpoint. We are pleased to report that we have been somewhat successful, and our economy has risen to 'developing', while political freedoms as well are on the rise. However, we must register shock and horror at our UN reclassification as 'Capitalizt'. We feel that the UN has reclassified us based solely on the fact that our economy has improved, without noting that there has been no change in our avowedly anticapitalist socialist democracy. We whole heartedly repudiate the UN's statement that Xikuang's citizens 'enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.' We counter that we have previously achieved first rank in income equality in the Anticapitalist Alliance, and placed under 70th for the world.

We wish to assure you that the designation 'Capitalizt' is rejected by the government of the Most Serene Republic.

In sincerity, and on behalf of the People of the Most Serene Republic of Xikuang,
