The US hasn't used the draft since like 1972. They even cut the draft during the last year or two of Vietnam.
This is the INFORMATION AGE. Numbers DO NOT matter in war. Just look at Iraq. 500-1 casualty ratio. While conscription MAY HAVE been justified back before 1980, it certainly isn't now.

Employers know any new employee has a basic understanding of structure as well as disipline...
Besides they all can shoot and take a gun home
