Telegramming other nations to lobby them for support is fine, of course. That's half the game. But if they're trying to talk to the entire region, they should use the regional message board. Players who use a macro or similar to send the same message to hundreds of people should be warned not to spam.
So, there you have it folks. The top admin has spoken. You may in fact lobby UN delegates via telegram for support!

Try as they might, I always ignore those telegrams anyway. 8)

I would bump it but I am unable to spell the word.
Strangely enough, I had to just correct a typo...

I suggest that if you want your voice heard on this to go here;
http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=72767
which is the exact same post, however in moderation. It would appear to me that the majority of people with the exception of a few who are against this are people who don't really take all that big a part in the UN any way. Thus they can make it look like a very unpopular decision and perhaps get [violet] to change her mind. We don't want this and we have the FAQ on our side! So for all of you who don't want to maybe end up losing the right to lobby support from other delegates, I suggest you make your voice known in the moderation link of this post!
Thank You.
Peace,
Stephanie.

They are very annoying telegrams though...a bit like junk mail in that they're gonna keep on coming and there is nothing you can do about but get rid of them as soon as they arrive.

We have the right to do it according to the FAQ though... look under "UN"

There is something you can do. Give up being a delegate. One of the drawbacks from having the authority to review proposals is that people are going to want you to look at theirs.

I'm not saying that they're not allowed to do it, I'm saying that they are bloody annoying!
Why did this become un-stickyed? Or is this simply a dead issue now?
