What is it, your not even mentioning what it is in your post? any details or examples or anything!
I believe this new proposal is more specific on rights of the accused than the Due Process resolution.
Elven ... the propsal has several points, so it's best to visit the UN page to view the full details. The title gives you a good idea of what it involves.
TGM may I be the first to shoot you should you ever be wrongly accused of anything? :)

Any posts made by the nation "TGM's Evil Twin" are sarcastic comments that I'm using to mock people who disagree with me.
Thank you to all delegates who have so far supported our proposal. I would like to encourage others to do likewise.
Full details of this proposal can be found at the United Nations. This proposal remains open until Wed 17th September.

Why dosen't he post the details here?? If i can't bother going there and i actually read this thread then i see it here and might actually think of supporting it, so better chance for him and his proposal if he puts i there.
For delegates who do not feel it their duty to visit the UN to keep up to date with proposals, here are the details of our proposal entitled - Rights of the Accused. I once again invite delegates to give this proposal their support.
It is proposed that all people who are arrested for, or on suspicion of, a criminal act be granted the following rights.
1. The right to be presumed innocent until actual proof of their guilt.
2. No person can be convicted solely on the word of one other person. There must be evidence to support any allegation, either in the form of material evidence or a reliable supporting witness.
3. All people under arrest must be provided with a suitable bed, adequate food, toiletry facilities, and medical treatment if necessary. They must be permitted at least one visitor per 24 hours. They must not be questioned for more than two hours without being given at least a twenty minute break. They must not be questioned during a sleep period, usually meaning the hours of darkness at night, unless by proper order of a senior judge in certain cases of national emergency or where serious urgency is required, e.g. where there may be loss of life.
4. All prisoners must be permitted legal representation. If they are unable to afford to make their own arrangements, a legal representative must be provided for them. They also have the right to refuse legal representation.
5. All prisoners have the right to remain silent. They must not be forced or coerced in any way to answer questions should they not wish to do so.
6. No prisoner shall be subject to any form of physical or mental abuse.
7. All prisoners must be protected from harm by any other person or thing, as much as is possible.
8. A prisoner does not have the right to refuse to be reasonably searched.
9. All prisoners must be provided with a receipt for any property taken from them while in custody.
10. No prisoner shall remain in custody for more than twenty four hours without special authority from a senior judge.
11. No prisoner shall remain in custody for more than forty eight hours without being officially charged with an offence.
12. Once a prisoner is charged with an offence he/she must be given right to reply before an appropriate court hearing at the earliest possible opportunity.
13. All prisoners have the right to appeal against arrest or conviction.
14. Any prisoner being denied any of the above mentioned rights will be entitled to immediate release on the grounds that the authorities have acted in breach of these rights.
I remind delegates about this proposal.
Thank you.
