Found this in the list, I did NOT propose this one.

-------------------------------------------
Human Food Act
A resolution to reduce barriers to free trade and commerce.

Category: Free Trade
Strength: Strong
Proposed by: Evilistocia

Description: The sale, trade and consumption of Human meat will be permitted. With so many starving countries this will be a way of feeding the population.

Approvals: 1 (Stephistan)

-------------------------------------------

I'm appaled at this proposal. The proposer has been making a lot of proposals lately, one more bizarre than the next (IMHO).

However, this is where I'd like to hear Stephistan's argumentation of why this is worthy of her support :)

I'd endorse that, if I were in the UN, and also if there was a stipulation that the meat was supplied consensually (ie, people stipulating in wills that they want to be eaten after death). The meat would naturally have to be inspected and up to standards for human consumption.

Cannibalism is wrong...

We the People's Republic Of Amyth wonder, isn't it cheaper just to feed the people, rather than grow the people as livestock and then feed them to other people?

Also, we would like to note that on our cannibal island, which is now uninhabited, there were many cases of Mad Cannibal Disease, which is similar to Mad Cow Disease. This is the cause of the eventual de-population of the island, which is now for sale. Any reasonable offer will be accepted.

Can't we just send them soda crackers or something?

We have Reality TV producers looking for something more shocking. We'll tell them to give you a call.

We feel obligated to mention again that said cannibal island is un-inhabited, however, now that you mention it, this does sound like a good name for a reality show, unfortuantely our archaic laws do not allow for the consumption of human beings. If you use the title "Cannibal Island" for any show, be aware that we have already filed a trade-mark on the name through the NSun patent and Trademark office, and we are prepared to sue.
