I found this resolution while browsing the proposals....I think it's something everyone should vote for. A fundamental principle that should be instilled everywhere.

I would Build Large Free Standing Structures all over, They would be in the shape of Pine Trees, and give off a scent that masks the smell of the unclean ones. Ah yes National Air Fresheners.

Judging by the name of your region, and placing it in a category like "reducing income inequality", I kind of question your motives.

That's not a very detailed proposal. How do you plan on going about banning ethnic cleansing? "Or face the wrath of the UN"? The UN has wrath?

And if ethnic cleansing is only illegal during times of peace, then you won't mind when I wipe out a population after I declare war on them?

If you are going to submit a proposal, and then be so indignant as to lie about it and insist that people support it, at least make it worth our while to actually look for it and read it.

I support banning ethnic cleansing - tis a terrible, evil thing.

I think it's wrong too, but what this nation is trying to do is use the cause of ethnic cleansing, to equalize all the UN nation's economies, in turn, supporting the cause of their communist region.
It's OK to be communist but you need to be honest about it instead of lying and being subversive.
If you want to support an anti-ethnic cleansing bill, it need to be under the category of Improving World Wide Human Rights.
What he's doing is a very low down and dirty trick.
Plus he lied and said that he "found" the bill while browsing the proposal board when he actually drafted it himself.That's slick.

I will explain to you why you are an idiot. Anyone who seriously thinks that "come on you guys, let's be serious" is seriously meant by the speaker.....is an idiot. You see, we could solve this problem if we'd just pass a proposal which states that the UN gives the nation of Oonamahambra the right to enforce the SPIRIT of all resolutions through sheer bravado and ass kicking. Then we don't have to worry about badly written proposals, because we all know the PROBABAL intent of the words. The only problem I see is if Anomolies is right and this IS actually a commie plot (can't be too careful, even if that makes no god damn sense) and Oonamahambra has to enforce that. I suppose it can be solved be letting US decide what the intent of the resolution is. We're always open to bribes and threats. Which means people with the best intentions will always win because there's more of them (edit: them being nations with good intentions). See? Problem solved! :D

OK, let's just say that New Labor actually slipped and accidentially put the proposal into the wrong category. Can you explain why you claimed to be browsing the board and stumbling apon it rather than writing it yourself.

I read proposals and recieved telegrams from communist nations and I have no disrespect for them.I think they have alot of interesting ideas, although nations (real nations) that put it to practice tend to be repressive and draconian.
What angers me, however, is the deceptiveness of using a worthy cause to promote a political system rather that using a category that properly describes it's purpose.

*edit* - I'll tell you what. Repost it in the right category and please expound apon the definition of ethnic cleansing to make it a bit more clear, and you will get my approval.

Yeah. We of The Soviet Union are out to force our iron will and cover up the atrocities preformed by "Communist" leaders, like Stalin. There's a 0 possibility of it being a joke. We're evil, Stalin supporting, Authoritarians that just use the label "Communism" to give hope to the people and excuse our actions.

Well, Ruit, what if your shower or bath or such is broken? Does your country have public bathing facilities? Or maybe free bath and shower repair?

Has anyone mentioned that third world countries can have all kinds of nasty diseases in their water? Cholera, Hepatitis A E and D, Meningitis, Bilharzia. and Typhoid just off the top of my head. Who would want to bathe in THAT water? Will this resolution cause the mass outbreaks of these diseases and more?

Why this would be as bad as killing off a whole lot of other people just for their ethnicity! Someone should write a proposal about that too.

The FLOT Ministry of External Affairs has sent a memo to the equivalent Ministry of the PROA indicating that FLOT is indeed rhymable with shot, lot, hot, naught, caught, bought, sought, dot, knot, not, and many other words in the English language. The FLOT has also submitted a formal request to the government of the PROA to set up an embassy to improve relations between the two acronymal nations.

The PROA welcomes the oppurtunity to improve relations with our international neighbours. We joyously welcome the establishment of a FLOT embassy.
