...doesn't work.
Hi guy's, Anagonia again. I know your about two steps away from sending me to Hades and throwing away the key for the constant updates concerning the situation, but every venue I've tried has either come up silent or completely wrong. Anyway, long story short whenever I try to access the new forums at "http://forum.nationstates.net/" I get a big shiny purplish red exclamation "GENERAL ERROR" with a buttload of technical information that only a superhero could solve in my opinion. Most of it seems rather private, so I will refuse to post those file extensions listed there.
I will mention that twice I did notify moderation through the "getting help" page and copy and pasting the full GENERAL ERROR page for them to review. I did this because, apparently, trying to contact "no-reply (at) nationstates (dot) net" really means "no-reply" despite what the error page suggests.
Here's the basic rundown:
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]
Data too long for column 'user_birthday' at row 1 [1406]
SQL
<insert a buttload of board action statements here that have nothing to do whatsoever with anything I learned in high school>
BACKTRACE
<insert lots of file extensions that probably reveal the inner workings of how the board is set up>
ANNNND there you have it. If anyone wants me to post the FULL error report, I will. Because, seriously, I want to see the darn new board. But if ya'll have already received my messages and stuff then don't consider this statement. I was just ensuring the word got out that your shiny new board hates old geezer's like me.
Cheers!
-Travis
P.S.
Also, when me and a friend looked at the XML texts and stuff of my nation we found that the game apparently hates me more because I was founded "seconds ago". So...yea, something goin on here!
