Very slow World Assmebly pages...

If I'm not the only person that deals with this, is there a reason why the World Assembly section of NationStates is so slow? Scrolling lags considerably, and trying to type anything in to the proposal submission form is a laborious activity. Well, I guess it's not so laborious, considering I'm waiting 30 seconds for what I've typed to show up.

Is this just me, or...?

Sounds like a problem with your system since the problems you're describing don't involve interacting with the server. I know I have a similar problems when my anti-virus software checks for updates.

More seriously, I'd suggest typing your proposals off-site and then using copy-&-paste to transfer them into the proposal submissions form: That reduces the chance that you'll accidentally hit the "submit" button before you've finished typing (Yes, I've seen it happen!), as well as -- of course -- leaving you with a 'reference copy' of the draft...

That's what I was thinking, too. But, I haven't been able to find a way to speed it up. Oddly enough, it's only the World Assembly pages that are like this, and not any other webpages I visit.

It's not debilitating, though. Just annoying and frustrating.

Oh, of course. I have it all saved to a text file. If not, I probably wouldn't have submitted the proposal, since it would have taken all day to type. :P
