Well, this is a little embarrassing...

...but I seem to have forgotten the limit on the number of telegrams that can be stored in our inboxes. I know, I know, I've been here for five years and sent a couple thousand of the things, but I can't recall what the limit is. I'm pretty sure it's more than ten, but more specific than that is escaping my grasp.

I checked the stickies in both the Mod and Technical forums, the game-page FAQ, and even the Changelog History, which lists game modifications since we went on-line back in 2002, but the only helpful bit there was a note from Nov. 20, 2002 about increasing the limit to ten, and I seem to recall something since then increasing it further.

Any help?

I think it's 15 now (though mods have a larger limit, so I can't confirm). Somebody who routinely keeps lots of TGs can probably be more definitive.

Twenty is the limit, from what I can see on my telegram page.

Ah, thanks a bunch, 'cause I was at nine earlier tonight and was worried that, if it was 10, I'd probably go over the limit tomorrow and lose some of my TG's, and the ones I have stored I've had stored for quite a while (1,994 days and counting for my oldest, and my youngest old one is actually at 1,000 days even).

I have one from you that's 1,348 days old, Klonor.

EDIT: Or did, I seem to have just accidentally deleted it. Crap.

Sorry to hear it, but I think I've got you beat. My oldest telegram from you is 1,961 days old.

What can I say, I'm a man who appreciates the classics.

Psst
You have been here 6 years, not 5. ;)

Actually, to be specific it's five years, five months, and thirty days from my founding on July 23, 2003 (Tomorrow it will be exactly five and a half years). I thought it appropriate to round down.

The limit is indeed twenty of the most recent telegrams, and older ones are permanently cleared up. Time does not matter so it is possible for one nation to have a telegram that's more than a year old, especially of those who were revived after a year on holiday.

This should probably go in the NS2 forums, but I'm al ready here, so...anybody know the TG limits in NS2?
