Hi there. I'm aware that proposals are either thrown out or become ready to be a resolution at the NS update time on the day listed on each proposal (correct me if I'm wrong there).
But is it just the major update in which this happens, or does this also happen during the minor update also?

I think it's just during the Major. The only way I can verify that is by refreshing the WA page and watching for deletions. Since you can do that too, I leave it as an exercise for the student.
Be aware that there is no correlation between the proposal date and the time that update removes it. Some of today's early listings will be removed in today's update, and some may hang around until tomorrow.
Many proposal authors are under the impression that "Tue Sep 9 2008" means they have until midnight local time to get approvals. Doesn't work that way, folks.
