At one time my tax rate was most likely over 100%, I got issue 221 and selected option 1 which reduced the tax rate to 0%

#221: Outdated Tax Code Crushing @@NAME@@? [Padosistan; ed:Reploid Productions]

The Issue
Over the years, the government's tax code has become a headache-inducing tangle. Recently a prominent tax official was crushed to death under the weight of a complete copy of the tax code falling on his head. As a result, taxes are higher than ever and an unlikely alliance of taxpayers, businesses, and government officials are demanding something be done to fix the situation.

The Debate
1. "We've got to put a stop to this before more lives are lost, like mine!" says @@RANDOMNAME@@, the new head of the @@NAME@@ Revenue Agency, indicating the search and rescue crew armed with paper shredders. "We need to abandon the whole thing and start fresh with a new one! It's drastic, I know, and it will mean chaos in the bureaucracy, but at least the people could enjoy a tax break!

This happened about 3 months ago and I have been trying to build back up my tax rate but it is still stuck at 0% and hasn't budged even with big ticket items.

You've always selected the option to raise the taxes? Hm. And it's been stuck for awhile? I don't how to fix this, I wonder if you got the same issue and selected another option if that will fix it.

Most likely your tax rate is actually below 0%.

Using my Moderator Stat-o-Vision, I can see that your tax rate is at -6 (by comparison, my own is at 144). Hang in there and you should get to it in no time.

Older and wiser heads than mine say that I goofed up, I shouldn't actually be giving you the raw numbers. So you'll just have to keep at it.

So it does go over the chart.

I'm sure I'm in the 200% range truthfully.

In point of fact, the raw numbers don't necessarily give you the true picture either. The various formulae for NationStates are more complicated than most of you would think.
