i'm a complete dunce and am looking for assistance, i have proposed a resolution for the w.a. and i don't know how to include a link in the thread for delegates to go and approve it. can you advise me how to do this? or even better could a kind and super intelligent mod do it for me if possible?:(

update- i just copy and pasted that link into the add link box in the advanced editing settings but when i tried the link after it said it was broken, did i do it wrong?

I usually copy and paste links I use but I've never had that happen. I wish I could help but I don't know what to do. Try copying and pasting the link again.:(

You have to Quote the link, not just copy it. Here's the difference:
http://www.nationstates.net/page=UN_...anti-personnel
http://www.nationstates.net/page=UN_proposal1/match=anti-personnel
The system shortens the visible portion of the link and adds an ellipsis in the middle, but leaves the actual link hidden behind it. Quoting it gets the entire link.
thank you Frisbeeteria i think by a process of trial and error i kind of worked out how it works,
now i know why as well. and as Oprah says " when you know better you do better" you said it sister :p
as a matter of interest, the next time i'm looking for the link itself, is it the http:/ e.t.c. or what is it?
