It gets really annoying when one posts a thread and then people start attacking each other in it, instead of talking about the issue. Anybody who has posted a thread has probably had this happen, and then get to watch their thread collapse. I think that the person that posts the thread should have some power over it. It would be useful if the poster could block people from their thread. However, if the poster is losing his argument, he may abuse this and chuck everyone who is a good opponent.

The commonly accepted method of "blocking posters" from a thread is to cover one's ears with one's hands, tightly shut one's eyes, and loudly sing "lalalalaIcan'thearyoulalalalala".
Time and time again, this practice has proven its effectiveness, if not its worth.

It's Jolt's forum, and they've set it up the way they want it set up. We've no say in how it functions.

Even if we did, the potential for abuse is enormous. Having one-sided debates where the opposing viewpoint is banned from the thread is all too probable an outcome.
