Is there any guide step by step what should be done by starting nation?
I've searched through the guides in this forum and FAQ. I found a few things - like filling some 'forms' about nation - however marked as out-of-date with metioning that somewhere is updated form (not given where).
Is there any step-by-step guide for starting nations?

It depends, what exactly do you want to do here? I'd be happy to help out. Welcome, by the way.

For sure not war - despite large variety of guides ;) - at least not now.
As far I explore the NS.
A few newbi... my questions:
1. Is it possible to personalise the nation beyond the issiues? As far as I know - yes. Is there any standard way of doing it?
2. What are GDP calculators for? What are the difference of them? As there are informations in them which cannot be found in profile (like the industry) where do they find them - especially that they are repeated so the rand() is not an answer?
3. At the beginning some aliances send the invitations. What are the pros and cons of accepting it?

Welcome, by the way.

Thank you

To this, I applaud you. While war RP's are hardly bad, I have done a few myself by the way, they are far too typical for new RPers.

1. Is it possible to personalise the nation beyond the issiues? As far as I know - yes. Is there any standard way of doing it?

Yes and no, Kep. You can create your own flag, and once you gain a 500 million + populace, you can create your own national title (i.e. The _______ of Keppelor) Other than that, however, the issues are about it as far as the actual nation page goes. Of course, in the forums, you can make stories, storefronts, factbooks, etc.

2. What are GDP calculators for? What are the difference of them? As there are informations in them which cannot be found in profile (like the industry) where do they find them - especially that they are repeated so the rand() is not an answer?

GDP calculators are controversial things. They are created by individuals, and not Max Berry, and "feed" off of in-game information. However, they are often biased, and there is really no uniformity between the different types. They can be a very helpful guide when determining how much money your nation actually has, if you're into that sort of thing, but to be honest I don't use them at all. Some do, some don't. Feel free to pick for yourself.

3. At the beginning some aliances send the invitations. What are the pros and cons of accepting it?

Alliances in NationStates serve two purposes: IC (or in character) and OOC (out of character). You can gain OOC friends this way, and naturally, IC allies. The pro's and con's of accepting invitations are the same in the game as they are in real life. My advice to you would be to feel out the roleplaying scene in both the NationStates and International Incidents forums before accepting one. Find people you can stand ICly and OOCly and join up with them. You'll have more fun in the long run.

Thank you

No problem, mate. Read over the rules and any stickies if they interest you, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Hope you enjoy your stay here. It's addicting if you get into it. :)

I meant the forum. Are factbooks etc. in specific format (not necessary formal format)?

Ok. Thanks

I'm "afraid" of asking question (ie. I prefere to have all places checked) since I "grown up" in the RTFM/STFW/http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html culture ;)

Sorry for delay in response and thanks for reply.

War's for poor nations (as nations usually are on the bigining) usually result in enlarge the poverty...

Ok. I am 'careful' since I 'grown up' in culture of RTFM and STFW ;)

Thanks.

PS. Sorry for delay but I haven't been log into and the forum silently drop my post.

There's no real official factbook format, although the real-life CIA format is probably the most universal.

As far as writing and RPing goes, there's no true format for that either. If you read around, you can get an idea of stuff. I'll find you some links...hold on...

Here’s a grand thread on NS Roleplaying: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=406680

And this post gives some examples of exemplary threads (and is significantly shorter): http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9458290&postcount=3
