Idea for a new feature, The TIA

I am a first year game design student at QUT in Australia, and I have come up with an idea that I think will be really cool to add rivalry and competition to nation states. In the world there is the UN that is now represented as the WA but since the UN wont let Nation States use there name and it now diverges from reality, I propose that we create a second world council to create opposition for the WA it add a how new element to the game. Since the WA represents the good of all people and democracy, why not make a force that represents evil, tyranny, fascism, dictatorships, commercial control and communism, whatever people want to create in a nation that conflict with the views of the WA. I propose that a separate game organisation be made to allow voting in the global decisions and compliances be negative to the poor but benefit the governments and the rich in an alliance of global (game wide) proportions. I think a good name would be the Terran Imperial Alliance (TIA) and could represent the more militaristic, imperialist dictator controlled regions. I believe that this will add a completive aspect to the game as then the organisations that had the majority of the nations would rule the game in a way and diver members to campaign and promote there view of either Democracy or Domination.

I have made a region so that people who think my idea is good can join though I miss spelt it a bit but I can’t change it, so if you like my idea support me by joining the region ‘The Terran Imperial Aliance (http://www.nationstates.net/62837/page=display_region).’

Athri (its an alias not my name) Emperor of the Supreme Imperium of Athrium.

You can make whatever in-game alliance you want. We are not going to code an Anti-WA, a rival WA, or anything of the sort.

Right now the 'good' and 'bad' (if one wishes to designate such sides) battle over control of the World Assembly. Separating these sides into two organizations may be more orderly, but would actually be bad for the game. After all, how would these organizations ever fight one another? With a source of conflict removed, the game would IMHO be worse off.

Also, there's nothing inherently democratic and free about the WA (well, except for the fact that decisions are made by voting). The WA could be passing resolutions to oppress and crush the citizenry of the world, it just doesn't. And such resolutions do appear in the proposals queue from time to time - I'm sure WA forum regulars will recall the recent "Right to Bear Slaves" proposal (which was not, surprisingly, about enslaving ursines).

Actually the political concept that decisions are made by voting *is* one of the basic tenants of democractic rule -- even in RL democracies, citizens can (and do) vote on candidates and measures that limit their freedoms <-- and that is all a part of any government via the "social contract" type of theory.

Mikitivity was opposed to enslaving ursines, as our friendly neighbor to the east is the nation of Bears Armed. Our two societies benefit from our exporting young nosy blond girls and honey in exchange for shiny gold rocks our bear friends find buried deep in rocky hills.

Honestly...

Where in the world do you get the impression that "technical" is an RP forum?
