Others may not be able to use the name, but at least if you change your mind the deleted nation can be revived.

Just throwing my own two cents in, I noticed you've just recently started. Before you decide to quit you should give it some more time, see if you start to like it better. Better yet you should get involved in roleplaying in the NationStates or International Incidents forums. That's where 99% of the fun of NS is, IMO at least.
