I have a question about how this works. I have a few different nations, and nearly all of them have "Minnow" status. One, however, is randomly rising in influence. It's currently at "Diplomat" and a non-UN nation. What determines regional influence?

I have a question about how this works. I have a few different nations, and nearly all of them have "Minnow" status. One, however, is randomly rising in influence. It's currently at "Diplomat" and a non-UN nation. What determines regional influence?
Among other things, the Influence of OTHER nations in the same region, as well as time spent in the same region. So perhaps that one nation is, incomparison to the others, staying in one region which has fewer (or less Influential) nations in it?

That seems to make sense. My other nations are in established regions with at least 50 other nations while the one was moved to a recently invaded region with less than 20. Ok, thanks. I have a better idea how it works.
